Monk instead of sin for UWSC possible?
what if permasin ever get nerfed, are we going back to 2 hours long balanced UW or can we make up something new.
lets go for the last one:
warning, havent tested it really, but perma SB is tested.
with an essence, blessed aura, glyph of swiftness and an 20% enchant mod you can keep up spell breaker forever. <---- epic typo was here, now its gone
add or spirit bond and prot spirit, or prot spirit and shielding hands and its hard to die, really hard
the math( o_O )
SB got an recharge of 45 secs, we got an essence and glyph of swiftness:
45 / 1.2 = 37,5, 37,5 / 1.25 = 30
so the recharge of SB is 30 secs now.
@ 16 prot SB lasts 18 seconds, but we have an of enchanting mod and blessed aura makes SB last 37% longer.
if you have an +1 divine 20% staff its 38%
so 18 * 1.38 = 24.66, 24.66 * 1.2 = 30.24 sec
i tested it in UW and it works, perma SB
if you add shielding hands you have it perma to:
recharge = 15 % 1.2 = 12.5
8 * 1.38 * 1.2 = 13.24
as you are an ele secondary already you can just use sliver armor for damage, maybe use Stoneflesh Aura instead of shielding hands.
add Balthazar's Spirit and as long as lots of things attack you your energy managment is nice to
i guess for some areas you wont need SB so you can add something else, and that can be an elite skill for nice damagewith elite skills like RoJ and shield of judgment.
becouse PuG's wont accept a monk for wastes or pits i havent testes it a lot.
but i think with the right tweaks you can use monks and do a fairly fast UWSC if SF sins get nerfed.
and the good and bad things of monk UWSC builds:
Good:
you dont need full cons, just an essence is enough as +100 health kills you, but armor of salf is nice with + health regen
nice energy managment with baltazar's spirit
shock wont deal a lot of damage to you.
most traps wont hurt a lot.
no 33% less damage becouse you dont have SF
you dont need max armor so mobs are more likely to attack you and not the vale necro
55HP monk + illusionairy weapon = LOL
a 600 monk with pain inverter would be fun
Bad:
you need at least 5 slots to be invincable, SB blessed aura, glyph of swiftness/arcane echo, prot sprit and shielding hands/spirit bond.
not so much skills left for damage or utility like i am unstoppable.
need to recast prot spirit/healing hands a lot, so slower.
if doing pits, aoe degen kills you, so rampaging minions are really bad.
flame traps are nice, O_O burning would hurt.
so think about it, would it be possible or not?

some things to stop some flaming:
if its possible to do UWSC with 7 monks instead of sins i think it wont be record breaking.
i posted this becouse about once a month i have a good idea, and i think this is one, adn there are a lot of people on this forum, so more good ideas, and with 100 good ideas this can get good
and there are a lot more monks than sins, if some areas are not so hard and quite fast as monk monks can do UWSC to, and more pople doing UWSC less time waiting forming a group.

please read it good, SB = spell breaker as you wont need all of that for perma spirit bond would you
every time i use SB its spell breaker, only when i say spirit bond, its spirit bond.
and yeah i make errors, i have 1 good idea a month, spelling is not one of them

um Blessed aura is in Divine Favor so i don't get the part +1 prot 20% thing..., as for that 600/smite/QZ seems a lot easier, even 600/smite can do some of UW

If permasins get nerfed, I highly doubt monks would replace them. and Illusionary Weaponry will eat through spirit bond.

IW eats through Shadow Form too. That's why you remove IW.

well I dont really know how assassin secondaries maintain shadow form (E/A for example) but I suppose Mo/A would breeze through pits area

SF wont get nerfed. Ever. Because then about 20% population would stop playing just because they lost will to play after all their fun things got nerfed.
I do normal PvE with few charrs, and assasin only as perma...its only for getting cash plus i enjoy doing UWSC, or farming TOPK or Raptors...it would kill the fun of it.

One time, I was doing uwsc vale support on my necro, and the mtns was a Mo/D. He wouldnt ping the build, but it sure was fast.

Not quite sure on the mo/d build, but i kno w mo/e build for mnts using 600 armor

I'd reccomend at least r8 Asura. All you do is wait for them to cast a few traps, then PI on 1, stand in traps, rinse and repeat. Using Sliver inbetween PI'ing.

an 55HP monk wont have a problem with IW
IW deals about 50 damage, prot spirit makes it 5
shielding hands reduces it by 12, so you would get 0 damage.
and well it was late when i made the first post, i will correct it a bit now.
but i think it should be possible to do a UWSC with monks under 30 minutes.\
and even if SF wont be nerfed, if some areas can be done as monk just as fast or a little bit slower monks can do PuG UWSC to.
and more people doing UWSC, less problems forming a team.
i heard of the monk 600 mnts build, never tried it as pugs will /kick really fast lol.
if someone could make a vid, and post it on youtube, build on pvx it would be nice.
mnts are hard to find, get some monks to do that and tadaa, faster party forming

Monk builds would most likely be specialized to 1 area specifically. In PuGs, there is a lot of dying going on. The monk wouldn't be able to back up that area. But i guess it could work if your team doesn't suck.
